Food truck festival to accompany Tarentum concert

The Tarentum Summer Concert series will feature Daniels & McLain in concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Carl J. Magnetta Jr. Memorial Amphitheater in Riverview Memorial Park.

A food truck festival will be from 5 to 8 p.m. in the park. The events are sponsored by the Tarentum Recreation Board.

Salvation Army free lunch distribution offered Thursday

The Allegheny Valley Salvation Army and Community Center in Brackenridge offers free grab and go lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in parking lot at the center, 917 Brackenridge Ave.

Free grocery items from Walmart and Aldi will be available. Everyone is welcome.

Participants sought for 125th anniversary parade in Vandergrift

Vandergrift No. 1 Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications to participate in its 125th anniversary parade scheduled for Sept. 3.
